Motors – Basic Overhaul: 6 months from date of installation

Basic Overhaul includes: Replace bearings, brushes, springs, seals, and hardware with new. Field coils are removed, de-greased, dried, varnished and baked. Armature or stator de-greased, dried, varnished and baked. Armature commutator machined, undercut and balanced. Casings cleaned and painted.

Motors – Major Overhaul/Exchange: 1 year (12 months) from date of installation.

Major Overhaul includes: Basic overhaul, plus armature is rewound if burnt, shaft of armature repaired if damaged, and replacement of commutator if needed.

Starters & Alternators – Exchange: 3 months warranty (90 days)

2) 1 month unconditional warranty applies to all the basic and major overhauls (or exchange) units. Stanford will pay the customer’s labour rate for warranty units up to a maximum of $40.00 per hour. The maximum time Stanford will pay is 4 hours per unit for motors, and 2 hours for starters and alternators.
